Bunch of Oneshots

I finally got my cardreader and got everything sorted out. Thanks Jeremy for the advice. I'm going to continue on posting the first picture I take of every picture that really sticks out to me. I think it will continue to help me with accountability if I post the first shot of every unique picture on the blog. Here are a bunch of OneShots [good and bad (mostly bad)] that I've taken over the past few weeks while I was MIA.

I thought the shadows/reflections of this lamp looked cool on the wall. The composition didn't turn out too well, though. Any ideas on what would have helped?

So, I'm still stuck with my photo editing picasa. I've tried downloading 2 other photo editors. But, for some reason when I plug in my camera and turn it on, the only options for imports are all of my computer defaults and picasa. The thing that happens with Picasa is wierd. I hit the import button and tell it where to import and then i just goes back to normal like it has imported. I can actually go into my files and find the picture in there, under picasa. But, on the actual program, nothing happens. Then, If I close picasa it won't reopen until I've restarted my computer. Then, when I restart my computer, the picture is there where I imported it to. I wouldn't mind using another photo program but like I said when I try to import pictures to the other programs, I can't find where to put them. Also, I'd like for the other program to take all of my pictures out of Picasa and use it for itself. I dont know but I'm frustrated and somewhat discouraged. Any ideas or advice would help me greatly.

So, I use the free photo program picasa to load my pictures onto my computer. For some reason, lately it is not allowing me to import pictures any more. I'm not sure what's wrong but I don't really know how to go about fixing it other than just downloading a new photo editing program. Does anyone know of any good, free photo editing programs?> If so, please post because I am not able to post any of my pictures any more until I figure out the problem.
